Newport Tiger Treatment

Tiger Treatment

Tiger Treatment Center (TTC) Protocol.

Only students whose parents/guardians have completed the registration papers can access services at the TTC/

If a student is ill:
1. Students will be evaluated by the school nurse
2. The nurse will contact the student’s parent/guardian to get permission for evaluation
in the TTC
3. After the appointment the TTC provider will call parent
4. A copy of the visit report will be sent to the student’s primary care physician

After evaluation by the nurse, if a student is not signed up for the clinic, the nurse or TTC provider can fax paperwork for completion by the parent/guardian so the student can be seen.

Parents/guardians can also send a note into school, with their child, indicating their desire for the student to be evaluated in the TTC. All notes need to be given to the school nurse. The above protocol would then start at #3.
